Born in Surrey, my 40+ years of working were spent in a variety of senior roles in the financial services industry based in London. I hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Open University.
My wife (who was born and brought up in Canterbury) and I moved to Sellindge in 2018, shortly after we had both retired. Being a bit of a newbie to the area I was interested in learning more about the history of the village and wanted to get more involved with the community to support its development, as well as making new friends. I was co-opted onto the Parish Council in 2019.
I live in Grove Bridge (where coincidentally the previous owner was also a Parish Councillor – does this mean that whoever owns the house becomes a Parish Councillor?) with my wife and a nearly 12-year-old golden retriever called Freddie. In my spare time I enjoy playing golf, tending to the garden, taking Freddie for a gentle stroll around the village green and reacquainting ourselves with the delights of the Garden of England!
