Shed Theft Warnings

NOT YOUR AREA BUT A TIMELY WARNING OF A CRIME TREND

Dear Members

 

WARNING ON SHED THEFTS

 

I have been alerted to an attempted shed break in in Church Lane, Aldington

 

These crimes are the very trend we need to be vigilant and alert to especially during the winter evenings.

 

Please be as secure as possible. Risks asses the value of items like expensive fishing gear and golf clubs for shed storage. Chain items together to make them difficult to lift and carry away.

 

Thankfully house burglaries are virtually non existent at the moment which makes criminals even more desperate and thereby puts

VEHICLES, GARAGES, SHEDS, BARNS, STABLES, OUTBUILDINGS and any form of EXTERNAL STORAGE at risk.

 

HEATING OIL STORAGE TANKS are also a target as the colder weather combines with rising fuel costs.

 

Just also be alert to INTERNET SHOPPING DELIVERIES from doorsteps. The risk from a chancer and opportunist is hopefully low in the village however please be aware that the delivery vans will be followed by criminals in these days leading up to Christmas.

 

STAY SAFE, SECURE, ALERT AND VIGILANT

 

Please report all incidents and obtain a crime number even if it was just an attempt.

The above crime shows criminals are active in the area and are just waiting for the opportunity to strike
